Juanita I. (Dowd) Parsons, 90, died June 20, 2019, at her residence.
She was born Feb. 9, 1929, to Andrew Jackson and Myrtle Upchurch Dowd, in Bessville.
She was united in marriage to Virgil Lee Parsons II, Sept. 18, 1946.
Juanita was preceded in death by parents, Andrew and Myrtle; husband, Virgil; son, Steven; and four brothers and six sisters.
She is survived by sons, Virgil Parsons and wife Julie of Cape Girardeau, Ted Parsons of Centerville, Jon Parsons and wife Cindy of Mount Sterling, Louis Parsons and wife Michelle of Beaufort; daughters, Sharon Parsons of West Palm Beach, Fla., Sheila Rhodes of Marble Hill, Debra Lusk and husband Lonnie of Cape Girardeau and Mary Parsons Hubbard of Wellington, Fla.; sister, Wilma Brewington of Fredericktown; and 21 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were Saturday, June 29, at Old Union Methodist Church with Kenny Massa officiating. Burial followed in Old Union Cemetery near Marble Hill.
