Julia M. Baker, 72, Bland, passed away Saturday, May 4, 2019, at her residence.

She was born Sept. 21, 1946, to William and Lucille (LePorin) Clarke, in St. Louis.

She was united in marriage to Barry Baker Sr., May 9, 1966, in St. Louis.

Julia was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Owensville. She enjoyed St. Louis Cardinals baseball and spending time with children and grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by parents, William and Lucille; and sisters, Janice Rasor, Virginia Collier, Sharon Gagnepain and Susan Quinn.

She is survived by husband, Barry, of the home; children, Carl W. Baker and wife Kate, Cheryl Trueblood and husband John and Barry Baker Jr. and wife Nicole, all of St. Louis; sisters, Lois Feranec of St. Charles and Katie Glasgow of St. Louis County; brothers, John Clarke and wife Pam of St. Louis, William Clarke and wife Jane of Ames, Iowa; and Robert Clarke and wife Virginia of the state of Florida; grandchildren, Ryan, Brandon and Emily Trueblood and Brittney and Kayla Baker; and many nieces, nephews and friends.

Visitation will be Thursday, May 9, from 4-8 at Gottenstroeter Chapel in Owensville. A mass of Christian burial will be Friday, May 10, at 11 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Owensville, with Fr. Wayne Boyer officiating. Burial will be in Howard Cemetery. Memorial contributions suggested to American Lung Association or St. Louis Cardinals Care.
