Theodore George Rousset, Jr., 84, St. James, formerly of Union, died Thursday, Feb. 28, 2019, at the Missouri Veterans Home in St. James.
He was born Nov. 12, 1934, to Theodore, Sr. and Pearl (Crites) Rousset, in Owensville.
He was united in marriage to Bertha E. Jett in 1969 at Union.
Theodore served in the U.S. Army from 1957 to 1959. He worked at Monsanto in St. Louis and was an avid fan of the St. Louis Cardinals. He enjoyed fishing and playing bingo.
He was preceded in death by parents, Theodore and Pearl; wife, Bertha; sons-in-law, Dennis Stephens and Mike Mesey; and several brothers and sisters.
He is survived by son; Mike Barklage of Gasconade; daughters, Cookie “Ann” Stephens of Dutzow, Betty Matthews and husband Dale and Ruth Mesey, all of Union; numerous grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
A memorial service will be scheduled at a later date.
