Both girls were using safety devices, according to a report filed by Tpr. M. A. Frigy, with Troop C of the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
Roberts was taken by New Haven ambulance to Mercy Washington in serious condition.
McFerrin was taken to the same hospital in a private vehicle.
