The apartment fire two weeks ago, which left eight families without a home, unleashed a wave of generosity that continues today.
The truck was stuck in a drainage ditch last Tuesday after two drivers took turns driving around park grounds. Due to the distance from a road, a towing company was unable to retrieve the vehicle. The following day city workers used a skid-steer to pull the truck out of the mud. Gerald Police impounded the vehicle and charges are pending against the owner.Gerald Police Chief Tommie Lowe reported a 1994 Ford pickup owned by a 21-year-old male of Gerald became stuck in the mud in the southeast side of the City Park Tuesday evening, Feb. 14.
Pseudoephedrine purchases recently by two county residents within 23 minutes of each other resulted in warrants for their arrest and execution of a search warrant late Thursday into early Friday of their mobile home just outside of Owensville.

According to the Gasconade County Sheriff’s Department, the driver of this 1997 Chevrolet Monte Carlo, identified as Brandon Glenn, 19, of Owensville, told his parents the car had broken down and was parked along Shockley Road, about 7 miles northwest of town.
