ges_100days_025Near the end of the 100th day of classes at Gerald Elementary School last Friday, Kindergarten and first-grade students were turned loose in their hallway to pop 500 balloons that were blown up by teachers and volunteers prior to the 100th day of school.
Trevor Koepke (pictured) places his “ant” on a poster of 100 hungry ants in the hallway. Koepke and his fellow GES classmates made ants with their fingerprints on small cards and placed them on a blanket with cups and paper plates resembling a picnic area. Several activities related to the number 100 were held throughout the afternoon Friday at Gerald Elementary School.
