Franklin County Sheriff Gary Toelke reports on Thursday, March 7, 2013, at approximately 7 a.m., his deputies were called to the 6000 block of Highway CC outside Leslie, to contact a victim of domestic assault. Upon arrival, deputies contacted a 30-year-old female who stated she was physically assaulted by her live-in boyfriend at their residence which is located in the 6200 block of Highway CC.
The victim requested medical assistance; Gerald Ambulance District personnel responded to the scene. The victim also reported that she was struck several times and held against her will at knife point. She waited for her attacker to fall asleep and then fled the residence to seek assistance.
Deputies responded to the scene of the incident and located the suspect, identified as 35-year-old, Robert F. Foreman. He was asleep in the residence and upon being contacted; he began fighting with deputies and was eventually taken in to custody. Foreman was arrested and transported to the Franklin County Detention Center for investigation of felony domestic assault and resisting arrest.
Foreman has been formally charged with first degree felony domestic assault, felony witness or victim tampering, felonious restraint, and felony resisting arrest. He is being held on a $75,000 cash bond.
