Gerald police Lt. T.J. Heidbreder handcuffs Barbara E. Martin, 52, on Monday during her arrest on outstanding warrant from Jefferson County for failure to maintain financial responsibility on a vehicle.

Bond was $500. Ray A. Parker, 50, was arrested on an outstanding felony warrant from St. Louis for failure to appear in court to answer to a “dangerous drug” charge and four misdemeanor FTA charges from Jefferson County for ordinance violations. Bond was set at $5,000 cash only. The couple, from Gerald, was stopped by Gasconade County deputy Nick Holtz on Highway 28 near Rosebud at 1:30 p.m. following a report of copper wire and metal being stolen from beside a Gerald business. Police said charges are pending on the allegations of metal theft. Their car was towed and they were taken to jail in Union.
