Kurtis Limberg (center) was among three area residents transported for medical attention following a 12:06 p.m. crash Wednesday at the Highway 28/19 North intersection. Owensville police said a PT Cruiser traveling east on 28, driven by Lor

etta Kohlbusch, 28, of Bland, turned in front of a westbound car driven by Christopher Davis, 21, Owensville. Limberg and Tyler Limberg were passengers of Davis.

"I knew we were going to hit," said Tyler Limberg, a backseat passenger. "I just closed my eyes." Kohlbusch was reportedly attempting to turn north onto Highway 19 against a "yellow caution arrow" and struck Limberg's car head-on. Kohlbusch and her passenger, Michael Carpenter, were transported by ambulance for medical treatment at Mercy Hospital Washington. Injuries were listed as "minor to moderate."
