Seven OHS athletes punch state tickets
“Everyone did a great job competing today,” OHS head track coach Matt Candrl said. “Even though everyone did not get through (to state), I like our chances to have a number of all-state kids next weekend.”
Trimming six seconds from the old record at districts, Owensville’s Girls 4x800-meter relay team of Emily Ellis, Hailey Diestelkamp, Kayla Charboneau and Hannah Baehr were shooting for a time under 10 minutes over the weekend.

“It’s a big difference going from balancing school and sports in high school to college,” 2009 OHS graduate Jordan Robertson said. “Competing in track and going to school for pharmacy are both something I like to do and wouldn’t trade for anything else.”
Currently a fourth-year pharmacy student at the St. Louis College of Pharmacy (STLCOP), the 2009 Owensville High School graduate has made a name for himself in a Eutectic uniform this spring on the track.
