Aaron Gene Kohrmann, 89, Owensville, passed away Tuesday, May 10, 2022, at Capital Region Hospital in Jefferson City.

He was born Nov. 16, 1932, to Jacob and Lillie (Ringeisen) Kohrmann in Cuba.

He was united in marriage to Jackie Kottwitz, Dec. 26, 1953, at St. Peters United Church of Christ in Owensville.

Aaron served his country in the U.S. Army. He was a member of St. John’s United Church of Christ in Bem where he had been very active serving on the church council and helping with picnics. He had served as president of the Gasconade County R-II School Board and president of Gasconade County Farm Bureau. He enjoyed woodworking and especially doing projects for family and friends. They had moved to Texas full time in 2005 and enjoyed their 10 years there.

He was preceded in death by parents Jacob and Lillie; son Larry Kohrmann; sisters Maxine Brown and Jean Buchheit; and brother in infancy.

He is survived by wife Jackie of Owensville; children Debbie Brown and husband Jerry of Rosebud, Sharon Riegel of Steelville, and Donna Davis and husband Mike of Sullivan; daughter-in-law Marie Kohrmann of Grapevine, Texas; grandchildren Curtis Weinrich and wife Liz, Madison Brown, Jamie Heberling and husband Jesse, Nathan Price, Teryn Thompson and husband Chris, Cody Davis and wife Annice, Brent Davis and friend Anna, Michael Kohrmann, Steven Kohrmann and Colleen Kohrmann and husband Nicholas O’Gorman; and nine great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Saturday, May 14, at St. John’s United Church of Christ, Bem, with Pastor Jeff Remelius officiating. Burial with full military honors was in Countryside Memorial Gardens, Owensville.
