A Holts Summit man is charged with 11 felony charges after a family report and an investigation by the Maries County Sheriff’s Office of an adult allegedly having sex with a minor from Vichy.
Joel Theodore Neudeck, 18, has been charged by the Maries County Prosecuting Attorney with five felony counts of first degree statutory rape or attempted rape of a person less than 14 years old, three felony counts of possession of child pornography first offense, and three felony counts of possession of child pornography second subsequent offense possess 20 pictures/one film/videotape.
Neudeck is being held in the Maries County Jail. His bond on Dec. 21 was set at $100,000.
The sheriff’s office reported the investigation began on Dec. 1 when Detective Dale Harp and Major Scott John responded to an address in Vichy for a report of an adult male caught having sex with a 12-year-old female a few days earlier. The officers discovered the family originally thought the male was a juvenile, but discovered he was 18-years-old and reported it to law enforcement.
Detective Harp traveled to meet with the suspect, Joel Neudeck, and during the consent interview Neudeck admitted to having sex with the juvenile on five separate occasions. The juvenile told him she was 14 years of age, when she actually is 12 years old. Detective Harp also discovered Neudeck had exchanged nude photographs and video with the juvenile.
Neudeck is scheduled for a counsel status hearing Jan. 18 in the Maries County Associate Court, Judge’s Kerry Rowden’s court.
