Arleen C. Fowler, 88, of Hermann, passed away Sunday, Oct. 13, 2024, at StoneBridge Senior Living, Hermann.
She was born Jan. 24, 1936, to Wilbert and Clara (Horstmann) Alberswerth in Hermann.
She was the widow of William ”Bill” C. Fowler.
Arleen was a member of Immanuel United Methodist Church, Senate Grove, where she was involved in many functions, along with the cemetery. She was also a member of the Missouri Teacher Association Alumni. She graduated from Southeast Missouri State College in 1966 with a master’s degree in education. She was a fourth grade teacher at the Lindbergh School District in St. Louis for over 30 years.
She is preceded in death by parents, Wilbert and Clara; husband, William; brother, Kenneth L. Alberswerth; and brother-in-law, Ray Sulltrop.
Arleen is survived by sister, Joyce Sulltrop, of Washington.
Funeral services were held Thursday, Oct. 17, at Immanuel United Methodist Church, Senate Grove, with Rev. Tony Townley officiating. Burial was at Immanuel United Methodist Cemetery. Memorials may be given to the cemetery.
