Volunteers Cody Fulkerson, Janet Baker, Molly Bax, Dana Peters, Renee Nilges, Laura Voss, and Be the Match Recruitment Coordinator Erika Hatfield added 20 individuals to the bone marrow registry on Monday at the State Tech Activity Center. Hatfield said she thinks the quality of these registrants is very high compared to adding more people that may have otherwise opted out after being called for donation. She added that intentional and thoughtful conversations will lead to educated potential donors and allow them to share quality information with their circles. Be the Match may revisit State Tech in the fall, but the strategy may be different, with classroom presentations and partnering with student organizations.
