Bernadine “Bernie” Marie (Meyer) Humason, 90, Cincinnati, Ohio, passed away Saturday, Dec. 25, 2021, at Maple Knoll Village, Springdale, Ohio.

She was born March 7, 1931, to Karl “Charles” and Clara (Schneider) Meyer on the family farm in Bay.

She was united in marriage to James C. “Jim” Humason, April 16, 1955, in Bay.

She graduated from Gasconade County R-2 High School in Owensville in 1949 and received a Bachelor of Science in Education from Missouri University in 1953. Bernie was an active member of Northminster Presbyterian Church for over 60 years, participating in women’s circles, Bible studies, rummage sales, and many other ministries and activities. She also volunteered at the Cottonwood Elementary School library.

Bernie is survived by sister Geneva Brink of Hermann; children John Humason and wife Johanna of Hermann, Tammy Becker and husband Joe of Charlotte, N.C., Richard Humason and wife Linda of Cincinnati, Ohio, and Robert Humason and wife Patty of Cincinnati, Ohio; nine grandchildren, Brian Becker, Deena Faust and husband Ben, Mark Becker, Christy Crisologo and husband Andrew, Scott Humason and wife Maggie, Lisa Humason, Jack Humason, Case Humason, and William Humason, nine great-grandchildren and a beloved niece Mary Kunstmann and husband Ken.

Visitation will be held Wednesday (today), Jan. 5, at 10 am at Northminster Presbyterian Church, Cincinnati, Ohio. Service follows at 11 am at Northminster, with interment to follow at Arlington Memorial Gardens, Mt. Healthy, Ohio.
