Bernhardt Edwin Klein, 83, Belle, departed this life Monday, May 4, 2020, at Capital Region Medical Center in Jefferson City.
He was born Jan. 17, 1937, to Edwin H. and Oneda (Tschappler) Klein, in Bay.
He was united in marriage to Jerelea Frolker, Dec. 12, 1959, at Zion-St. Paul United Church of Christ in Bay.
Bernhardt was a member of Zion-St. Paul United Church of Christ in Bay. He was baptized Jan. 18, 1937, and confirmed May 28, 1950. He graduated from The American School in 1955. He was a very dedicated lifelong farmer as he enjoyed spending time outdoors.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Edwin and Oneda Klein; and brother-in-law, Dennis Godi.
He is survived by wife, Jerelea, of the home; children, Douglas Klein and wife Debbie of Bland and Cheryl Livengood and husband Jim of Fulton; sister, JoAnn Godi of Owensville; sister-in-law, June Turner of Owensville; grandchildren, Seth Klein and wife Liv of Owensville, Sara Kneeskern and husband Austin of Jefferson City and Ethan and Jarrett Livengood of Fulton; great-grandson Emmett Klein of Owensville; and was expecting a great-granddaughter in August.
A private graveside service at Old Bohemian Catholic Cemetery will be held.
