Bobby Lewis Cummings, 83, New Florence, formerly of Winfield, passed away Friday, Oct. 30, 2020, at SSM- Lake St. Louis.
He was born July 28, 1937, in Callaway County, an only child of William Jack and Katherine (Boone) Cummings.
He attended the local schools and graduated from Hermann High School.
Bobby and Ginny were united in marriage on July 19, 1965, in Steiger, Ill. To this union were born three sons: Bill, Chris and Wayne.
Bobby was employed as a truck driver for Morgan-Whiteman until his retirement. Bobby and Ginny moved to St. Charles once they were married and later moved to Winfield where they lived for 40 years. Once they reached retirement age, they moved to their property in New Florence. Bobby enjoyed walking, woodworking and mowing. He loved spending time with his wife, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He is survived by his three sons: William Robert Cummings of New Florence, Christopher Wayne Cummings of New Florence, Wayne Robert (Rita) Cummings of New Florence, four granddaughters: Alyssa Katherine (Jeffrey Roche) Creech of Moscow Mills and their children; Brylie Ann Haver and Mason Roche, Caitlin Marie Hemberger, Zoe Mae Cummings and Mia Christine Cummings, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Bobby was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Ginny Cummings, his infant sister, Helen Cummings, and his parents.
