Bonita “Bonnie” Louise Turner, 80, of Gerald,  passed away Monday, Nov. 18, 2024, at her residence.

She was born Sept. 27, 1944, to Delores Childres.

She was united in marriage to Charles Turner, June 9, 1962, in Rochelle, Ill.

Bonnie enjoyed hiking, camping, fishing and was an over the road truck driver for many years.

She was preceded in death by mother, Delores; husband, Charles; and brother Lindy Nicholson.

She is survived by daughters, Rita Martin and significant other Brian Lauth of Gerald, Renee Turner and significant other Mark Harbers of Hardin, Ill., and Tammy Robertson and husband Richard of Carbondale, Ill.; siblings, John Nicholson of West Brooklyn, Ill., Margie McNamara of Vienna, Sara Burn and husband John, Lois Nicholson and Margaret Nicholson all of LaSalle, Ill.; and by eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Her body was cremated and her cremains will be interred at Jefferson Barracks where her husband’s ashes are buried.

Visitation will be Tuesday, Nov. 26, from 9–11 a.m., at Gottenstroeter Funeral Home in Owensville, with a memorial service following at 11 a.m.
