Brenda Kay Bethune, 59, Belle, passed away Thursday, Aug. 27, 2020, at her residence.

She was born on July 5, 1961, in St. Louis.

She was united in marriage to Robert A. Bethune, Nov. 12, 1982, in Steelville.

Brenda enjoyed collecting knickknacks — especially eagles. Her main hobby in life was the interests of her children and grandchildren, whether it was rehearsing lines in a play, helping with art work, beekeeping, low-riders, T-ball, karate or playing dress-up. She enjoyed watching football and was a lifelong Pittsburgh Steelers fan. She was a proud military wife, traveled and lived with her husband Robert wherever he was stationed in his 20 year military career.

She was preceded in death by father, Ronald Beasley; grandparents, Ora and Florence Carwile; parents-in-law, Warren and Betty Bethune; sister, Debra Carwile; and a very special aunt and uncle, Jewell and Junior Birkmann.

She is survived by husband, Robert, of the home; mother Zelda Beasley, of Owensville; birth mother, Audrey Perkins and stepfather, Don Perkins of Bland; children, Amber Ensor and husband Adam of Gerald, Robert J. Bethune and wife Tia of St. James; Ryann Alvarez and husband Tony of Owensville, Kelsie Bethune of Belle; sister, Sherrie Cochran and husband Donnie of Eldon; grandchildren, Koltyn, Remi and Asher Ensor of Gerald; and Giovanni Damario of St. James.

Visitation will be Thursday, Sept. 10, from 9-11 a.m. at Gottenstroeter Chapel in Owensville. Funeral services will follow with pastor Shane Jarvis officiating. Burial will be in Owensville City Cemetery. Memorial contributions suggested to Susan G. Komen for the Cure, 13770 Noel Road, Suite 801889, Dallas, Texas 75380. Visitation and services are open to the public with restrictions. Masks are requested.
