Buddemeyer murder trial rescheduled to August

During a June 1 court appearance the jury trial for Brooke A. Buddemeyer, the woman accused of murdering her stepfather Jesse Robbins in 2018, was set back another month from July 5-8 to Aug. 1-5, according to Missouri Case.net.

The trial was moved with consent from Buddemeyer’s counsel, Bradley Harold Lockenvitz.

Buddemeyer is being charged with first-degree murder — class A felony and armed criminal action — felony unclassified, in the shooting death of Robbins that took place in a mobile home park in Bland near his home.

The case has progressed since it was previously reported. On May 11, the courts served an additional subpoena to KW.

On May 12, Buddemeyer’s attorney, Lockenvitz filed the seventh supplemental response to the state’s disclosure request; received a notice of service; and entered suggestions of opposition to the state’s request to enter the testimony of a witness who is now deceased.

Lockenvitz entered additional suggestions of opposition on May 13, along with Buddemeyer’s eighth supplemental response to the state’s disclosure request; a subpoena served to LW; and an official record of Lockenvitz’s arguments made to the judge and prosecuting attorney is set to be determined during a June 17 hearing.

The case was initially set to be reviewed on May 16.

On June 1, trial dates were canceled and rescheduled.

The case is due back in Craig E. Hellmann’s Gasconade County Court on June 17 to review the request and opposition to including the testimony of a now deceased witness.

Buddemeyer remains jailed in Crawford County. Her bond was set at $750,000.
