Charles O. Price, 93, Hermann, passed away Friday, March 22, 2019, at the Missouri Veterans Home, St. James.

He was born Feb. 14, 1926, to Joseph and Flora (Corzine) Price, in Rago, Ill.

He was united in marriage to Stella L. (Kahle) Price, Oct. 11, 1947, in St. Louis.

Charles served in the U.S. Navy from May 18, 1944, to May 22, 1946, during WWII.  His primary job in the military was a gunner.  During his military career, he was awarded the Victory Medal, the American Area Campaign Medal, the Asiatic Pacific Area Campaign Medal with two stars and the Philippine Liberation Ribbon. 

After serving in the military he worked as a welder for Shippers Railroad and worked on the St. Louis Arch. Charles was also a mechanic and a retired farmerand a member of Swiss Evangelical Reformed Church, Swiss.

He was preceded in death by parents, Joseph and Flora; wife, Stella; and son, Bruce Price.

He is survived by sons, Kerry Price and wife Carol of Washington, Kenny Price of Bourbon, Randy Price and wife Pat of Gilmore, Texas and Jeff Price of Jefferson City; daughters, Linda Weeden of Thaxton, Miss., Barbara Ross and husband Thad of Pontotoc, Miss., Deborah Carron and husband Richard of Portsmouth, Va., and Susan Price and Frances O’Blennis, both of Hermann; and 19 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.

Visitation will be Friday, March 29, from 1-3 p.m. at Toedtmann & Grosse Funeral Home, Hermann, with full military honors to follow.
