Charlotte Braun

Charlotte Ann Braun, 53, of Osage Bend, passed away Friday, July 26, 2019, at home surrounded by her family.

She was born Sept. 10, 1965, in Jefferson City, the daughter of Raymond J. and Virginia Mary (Feltrop) Holtmeyer.

She was a 1983 graduate of Helias High School.

Charlotte was united in marriage April 20, 1985, at St. Margaret of Antioch Catholic Church in Osage Bend to Gregory George Braun who survives at the home.

Charlotte worked for Farm Bureau Insurance from 1983-1984, Missouri Department of Revenue from 1984 until her retirement in August of 2015. She also helped at St. Stanislaus after-school program from 2015-2018.

She was a member of St. Margaret of Antioch Catholic Church, St. Margaret Ladies Sodality, quilting committee, PSR teacher, and the Rooster Creek Guild.

She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, traveling especially in Amish country, sewing, quilting, embroidering, reading, shopping, and supporting Greg with his tractor pulling hobby.

Survivors include her husband, Greg Braun, Osage Bend; two children, Alan (Jessica) Braun, Osage Bend; Ashley (Troy) Shockley, Owensville; her parents, Raymond and Virginia Holtmeyer, Osage Bend; three grandchildren, Jason and Catherine Braun, Rylee Shockley; one grandchild due in January; two sisters, Cyndi (Troy) Hake, Wardsville; and Carrie (Fred) Wilde, St. Elizabeth; father and mother-in-law, David and Anna Marie Braun, Osage Bend; seven brother and sister in-laws, Jerry (Cathy) Braun, Dale (Brenda) Braun, Gwen Braun, Brenda (Leo) Ahlers, Roxann (Ken) Koon, Sam (Roxanne) Braun, Daryl (Jennifer) Braun, all of Osage Bend; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her infant son, Adam Braun; her infant brother, Thomas Holtmeyer; and her maternal and paternal grandparents.

Visitation was Sunday, July 28, 2019, 4-7 p.m., at St. Margaret of Antioch Catholic Church in Osage Bend with a prayer service at 7 p.m.

Mass of Christian Burial was Monday, July 29, 2019, 10 a.m., at St. Margaret of Antioch Catholic Church with the Rev. I.C. Medina officiating. Burial was in St. Margaret Catholic Cemetery.

Memorials are suggested to Charlotte’s grandchildren’s educational fund.
