Cheryl Lou Fillion, 74, Owensville, passed away Friday, May 27, 2022, at Stonebridge of Owensville.
She was born May 29, 1947, to Charles and Doris (Cornwell) Pfeifer in Battle Creek, Mich.
She was united in marriage to John Fillion, March 24, 1989, in Cabo Rojo, Puerto Rico.
Cheryl was raised an “army brat” and Elvis Presley bought her an ice cream cone while stationed in Germany. She graduated from Grand Junction, Colo., High School in 1965 and Webster University in 2004.
Since moving to Owensville in 2010, she has enjoyed many local friendships and especially with the members of the Owensville Garden Club. She also appreciated the many acts of kindness she received from the staff of the Stonebridge SNF.
She was preceded in death by parents Charles and Doris; and brother Paul Pfeifer.
She is survived by husband John of their home; children Carol Vollmer and husband Brian of St. Louis and Victor Fillion and wife Amy of Maryville, Tenn.; sister-in-law Yolanda Pfeifer of Deadwood, S. D.; and grandchildren Thomas Vollmer and wife Kimbelry, Katie Vollmer, Felix and Amelia Fillion.
Her body was cremated and a private family service will be held at a later date.
