Gerald City Hall and the Gerald Police Department were closed last Thursday after three employees became ill.
The Franklin County Sheriffs Department provided a police presence in the city of Gerald until officers were allowed to come back to work.
A workshop, public hearing and regular meeting scheduled for Thursday night were all canceled.
All three employees were tested for COVID-19 with negative results. Offices were open for business as usual by Monday morning.
The canceled meeting of the Board of Aldermen was rescheduled for Tuesday, and was held via ZOOM, an online virtual meeting space. This may become commonplace as county officials urge those who can to work from home.
The public hearing will require a new notice to be published in the newspaper before it can be held.
