HERMANN — With last week’s session scrapped because of a storm that hit parts of southern Gasconade County, the County Commission could face a busy agenda at tomorrow’s session. And with only two of the three commissioners on hand for the meeting, just how much work might get done is unclear.
A last-minute need to deal with storm damage to his property meant Southern District Associate Commissioner Jerry Lairmore, R-Owensville, couldn’t attend last week’s session. He and Northern District Associate Commissioner Jim Holland, R-Hermann, are expected to attend tomorrow’s session.
Presiding Commissioner Larry Miskel, R-Hermann, is on vacation and won’t be available until the June 30 session.
Often, if a major decision needs to be made by the Commission, and one of the members is unavailable at the time, the two conducting the meeting will table the matter until all three administrators are in attendance. The agenda for the June 30 session might also be heavier than normal; the June 23 meeting has been canceled.
