Dail Dean Rehmert, 74, Owensville, passed away Saturday, May 22, 2021, at his residence.
He was born Oct. 8, 1946, to William R. and Esther (Price) Rehmert, in Linn.
He was united in marriage to Carol Grayson Feb. 11, 1966, at House Springs.
Dail served in the U.S. Army, being a decorated US veteran of Vietnam. He retired from McDonnell Douglas in St. Louis after 30 years. His hobbies included farming, hunting, fishing, traveling and photography.
He was preceded in death by parents, William and Esther; brothers, Larry, Bill and Danny Rehmert; sisters, Clara Rehmert and Leona Shoemaker; sister-in-law, Shirley Rehmert; and great-granddaughter, Saphira Rehmert.
He is survived by his wife, Carol of Owensville; son, Randal Rehmert and wife Donna of Owensville; brothers, Richard Rehmert and wife Connie of Bland, Jim Rehmert of Owensville and Henry Rehmert of Belle; sisters, Marilyn Licklider and husband Charles of Cuba, Betty Koch and husband Dennis of Owensville and Debbie Kline and husband Doug of Bland; sister-in-law, Myrna Rehmert of Bland; brother-in-law, Oran Shoemaker of Owensville; grandchildren, Joe Rehmert and Justin Seyer both of Owensville and Kenneth Seyer of Belleview; and great-granddaughter, Trinity Rehmert of Gerald.
Visitation will be (today) Wednesday, May 26, from 9-11 a.m. at Gottenstroeter Chapel in Owensville with funeral services following with Rev. Van Lahmeyer officiating. Masks are suggested but not mandatory. Burial will be in Countryside Memorial Gardens with full military honors. Memorial contributions suggested to family’s choice.
