Dennis “Denny” Ralph Jenkins, 70, Owensville, passed away on Friday, Aug. 21, 2020, at his residence.
He was born Feb. 27, 1950, to Edward “Red” and Doris (Howard) Jenkins, in Owensville.
He was united in marriage to Nancy Tayloe, Jan. 6, 1990, at St. John’s United Church of Christ in Bem.
Dennis was a member of St. John’s United Church of Christ in Bem, Masonic Lodge A.F. & A.M. No. 624, Eastern Star and Owensville Moose Lodge.
He was preceded in death by father, Edward “Red” Jenkins; and sister-in-law, Becky Jenkins.
He is survived by wife, Nancy, of the home; mother, Doris, of Owensville; children, Renee Shaw and husband Brandon of Mayfield, Ky., Brittany Whitford and husband Matthew of Washington, Teresa Ringeisen of Owensville, Tina Medlock of Rosebud and Tracy Behrens and husband John of Gerald; brother, Carl Jenkins of Owensville; sister, Janie Weigers and husband Mark of Cuba; grandchildren, Ashlee, Wyatt and Easton Shaw, Emma Jenkins, Abby, McKenna, Ryleigh Whitford, Brandi Lauth and husband Chris, Roxie Murphy and husband Eric, Ben Meyer, John M. Behrens and wife Melanie, Gene Behrens, Vanessa Young and husband Brandon and Justin Medlock and wife Tyler; and great-grandchildren, Will and Myla Lauth, Emmett and Jasper Murphy, Carson Palovich, Alyssa Meyer and Bella Young.
Visitation will be (today) Wednesday, Aug. 26, from 1:30-3 p.m. at St. John’s United Church of Christ in Bem. Graveside services will follow at 3 p.m. at the church cemetery with Pastor Jeff Remelius officiating. Masks are suggested but not mandatory.
