BLAND — Osage County deputies provided backup and wound up helping Advantage Bail Bonds of Franklin County take fugitive Jackie R. Jackson, 47, of Bland, into custody.
According to Sheriff Mike Bonham, Advantage bondsmen asked for help in their search for Jackson at about 4 p.m. on Jan. 15. He had felony warrants out of Osage, Franklin, and Maries counties, and those warrants were confirmed through Osage County 911.
Deputies went to an address on Rt. D in Bland, where they and the bondsmen made contact with Betty L. Jackson, 68. She told authorities she had not seen Jackie Jackson and had no idea where he was located.
While deputies secured the perimeter, bondsmen entered the residence and found Jackie Jackson hiding in a backroom closet. Bondsmen asked for assistance because Jackson was actively resisting them.
Deputies assisted with the arrest and took Jackson into custody, along with Betty Jackson, for hindering prosecution. Alicia Kurk, 28, of Bland, was also taken into custody on Franklin County warrants.
All three were transported to the Osage County Jail.
Betty Jackson was booked and released.
