Donald Lee “Curly” Kreutzer, 83, Owensville, passed away Thursday, Dec. 20, 2018, at his residence surrounded by family.

He was born Jan. 14, 1935, to Frank and Marie (Ryerson) Kreutzer, at Owensville.

He was united in marriage to Shirley Ann Wallace, July 9, 1955, at Belle.

Donald was a member of First Baptist Church in Owensville. He served with the U.S. Army. He enjoyed his time working on motorcycles. He also loved spending time with family and his dogs, Gus, Rufus, Grace and Zoe.

He was preceded in death by parents, Frank and Marie.

He is survived by wife, Shirley, of the home; daughters, Debbie Hempelmann and husband Don of Owensville and Sharon Lochirco and husband Mike of Ft. Myers, Fla.; grandchildren, Sarah Gehlert and husband Lucas of Belle, Adam Hempelmann of Owensville, Leah Thrasher and husband Trent of Gardner, Kan., Ben Hempelmannn and wife Amanda of Linn and Ashley Lochirco of Fenton; and nine great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were Sunday, Dec. 23, at Gottenstroeter  Chapel with Pastor Kevin Sullivan officiating.  Burial was in Countryside Memorial Gardens in Owensville with full military honors. Memorials contributions suggested to Wounded Warriors Project.
