Doris Irene Chapman Hall, 91, Owensville, passed away Friday, Sept. 23, 2022, at Gasconade Manor in Owensville.
She was born Jan. 20, 1931, to Arthur and Nellie (Brickey) Bruce in Wright County.
She was united in marriage to Clarence “Chippie” Chapman, Nov. 24, 1949, at St. Louis.
Irene accepted Christ at the age of 11 years and remained a faithful christian until her death. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Owensville.
She was preceded in death by parents Arthur and Nellie Bruce; husband Clarence “Chippie” Chapman; sons Ronald, Ed and Bruce Chapman; and several brothers and sisters.
She is survived by daughter Glenna Linenbroker and husband Ed of Rosebud; daughter-in-law Mary Chapman of Rosebud; sister-in-law Sue Bruce of Wentzville; grandchildren Judy, Scott, Kendra, Angela, Clay, Jessica, Joe, and Irene; 14 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be Saturday, Oct. 15, from 1–2 p.m. at First Baptist Church, Owensville, with funeral services following at 2 p.m. with Rev. Kevin Sullivan officiating. At her request, her body was donated to science at the St. Louis University School of Medicine.
