Douglas Wayne Stieferman, 59, Frankenstein, passed away peacefully Thursday, March 3, 2022, at his residence surrounded by his loving family.

He was born July 21, 1962, to Donald and Betty (Bossaller) Stieferman in Jefferson City.

He was united in marriage to Paula Dudenhoeffer June 21, 1986, at Our Lady Help of Christians Catholic Church in Frankenstein.

Doug was a 1980 graduate of Fatima High School.

He was employed with Central Electric Power Cooperative for over 30 years and was also founder and part owner of Stieferman Construction Services, LLC.

Doug was a member of Our Lady Help of Christians Catholic Church in Frankenstein and the Bonnots Mill Knights of Columbus Council.

He enjoyed fishing, camping or just being outdoors with his labrador retrievers. Doug loved to teach his grandsons to fish and run the boat. He was very mechanically inclined always able to fix anything and was quick witted and loved to spend time with his family.

Doug is survived by spouse of 35 years, Paula; parents, Donald and Betty; sons, Brad Stieferman and wife Bethann and Brian Stieferman and wife Hailey, both of Frankenstein; grandsons, Elliott and Preston Stieferman; brothers, Dan Stieferman and wife Christine of Bonnots Mill and Dave Stieferman and wife Melissa of Independence, Iowa; sister, Doris Stieferman of Greensboro, N. C.; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Jerome Dudenhoeffer and wife Mary of Frankenstein, Jane Senevey and husband Elmer of Linn, Wayne Dudenhoeffer and wife Joann of Chamois, Lori Bruemmer and husband Jr. of Wardsville, John Dudenhoeffer and wife Ev of Chamois, Gerrie Schaefer and husband Mike of Linn, Marvin Dudenhoeffer and wife Ruth of Frankenstein and Diana Mengwasser and husband Fred of Loose Creek; and many nieces, nephews and friends.

A Mass of Christian burial was held Monday, March 7, at Our Lady Help of Christians Catholic Church in Frankenstein with Fr. Colin P. Franklin officiating. Interment was in the Garden of Gethsemane Cemetery.

Memorial contributions suggested to the wishes of the family or to a charity of the donor’s choice.

Arrangements entrusted to Morton Chapel in Linn.
