Clayton J. Stockton, Gerald drove a 2007 Chevy into the arena cook shack at City Park Tuesday, March 17, around 7:15 p.m. The vehicle left an eight-foot hole in the west side of the structure. Stockton was cited by Gerald Police with operating a motor vehicle on a highway without a valid license, first offense. Officer Brandon McCulloch, who investigated the accident, attributed it to speed and over-correction. Members of the Gerald Bridle and Saddle Club were on the scene later that night making temporary repairs to their building. Stockton is expected to appear in municipal court in Union May 1.
