Duane C. Armstrong, 75, Owensville, passed away Friday, April 16, 2021, at Bryan Medical Center in Lincoln, Neb.
He was born Nov. 19, 1945, to Clarence and Ardis (Culbert) Armstrong in Battle Creek, Mich.
He was united in marriage to Katherine Johnson, Dec. 11, 1976, in Bristol, Ind.
Duane enjoyed old cars, drawing and woodworking. He owned and operated a tour bus company for over 25 years visiting all of the lower 48 states. He served his country in the U.S. Army.
He was preceded in death by parents, Clarence and Ardis; daughter, Shari Armstrong; son, Duane C. Armstrong Jr.; brothers, Clayton and Arthur Armstrong and Bobby, Roger and Gary Southwell; and sister, Janice May.
He is survived by wife, Katherine, of the home; sons, Joey Armstrong of Jefferson City and Jeff Armstrong and wife Heather and Roger Armstrong and wife Jessica, all of Owensville; daughter, Deborah Armstrong of St. Johns, Mich.; sister, Cheryl Armstrong of Beatrice, Neb.; 10 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held Friday, April 23, from 4-8 p.m. at Gottenstroeter Funeral Home Chapel in Owensville where funeral services will be held Saturday, April 24, at 10 a.m. with Rev. Paul Landgraf officiating. Burial will be in Owensville City Cemetery with full military honors.
