Fred Duane Dailey, 84, Columbia, passed away Tuesday, March 10, 2020, at a hospital in Columbia.
He was born Nov. 23, 1935, to Howard Karl Dailey and Marie Dailey Hass, in Lineville.
Duane was a graduate of Mercer High School. He served in the U.S. Army and then went on to graduate from and teach at the University of Missouri in Columbia. He was a member of the Unitarian Universalist Church in Columbia.
He was preceded in death by parents, Howard and Marie; brother-in-law, Frank Schreffler; and son-in-law, Lyle Harris.
He is survived by daughters, Janet Burke and husband Bob of Lutz, Fla., and Lucinda Dailey of Ozark; grandson, Samuel Lawrence; brother, Elijah Dailey and wife Donna of Mercer; sister, Deanna Schreffler of Chico, Calif.; and special friend, Linda Myers.
