Last Monday against Montgomery County, the varsity Dutchgirls needed five sets to turn away their Highway 19 foes to the north 23-25, 25-17, 25-14, 20-25 and 18-16.

Emily McKinney (13) and Kyla Hendrix (11) combined for 24 kills to lead the Dutchgirls in that department.

Josie Gerlemann finished with a team-high five blocks while Cadi Ruth dug her way to a team-high 27 digs.

Kyla Hendrix also finished with a team-high 21 assists followed closely by Taylor McClure with 17 dishes.

Owensville won the junior varsity match in two sets 25-18 and 25-9.

Moving back into Four Rivers Conference (FRC) action, Owensville hit the road to Union High School last Tuesday to face the Lady Wildcats.

Varsity action went four sets with Owensville coming out on top 25-16, 25-20, 17-25 and 25-20.

Haley Coello baked up a team-high 13 kills for Ridenhour’s Dutchgirls.

OHS lost the JV match in three sets 25-23, 12-25 and 25-22.
