An egg hunt, for children age 10 and under, has been scheduled for Saturday, March 27, at Legion Park in Gerald.
For ages 3 and under, the hunt will begin at 11 a.m. Those ages 4 to 7 will start at 11:15 and then kids 8 to 10 will hunt at 11:30 a.m.
A bake sale will be held in conjunction with the hunt. Donated baked goods for the event would be welcome.
The Gerald Area Chamber of Commerce has agreed to host the annual hunt with the hopes of a new sponsor taking over next year. Businesses, organizations and individuals are asked to donate candy or cash for prizes to fill the eggs. Interested individuals can call Marsha at 764-2889 for details.
For the last many years, the Park Department has held the egg hunt, but after it was disbanded another organization has not stepped up to continue the tradition.
