Emma Jean Shockley, 84, Owensville, passed away Tuesday, June 14, 2022, at Victorian Place of Owensville.
She was born June 22, 1937, to Edward and Lena (Pohlmann) Dittman in Bland.
Emma Jean enjoyed reading the newspaper, working crossword puzzles and spending time with her friends at Victorian Place.
She was preceded in death by parents Edward and Lena; son Gale “Bullwhip” Shockley; daughter Judith Earnest; and brother Donnie Dittman.
She is survived by son Keith Shockley and wife Laura of Owensville; son-in-law Billy Earnest and wife Gracie of Roston, Ark.; siblings Larry Dittman of Owensville, Gary Dittman and wife Jackie and Shirley Baxter all of Bland; grandchildren Holly Mosley, Jason Watts and wife Lauren, Aaron Watts and wife Helen, Lonni Earnest, Cherry Brown, Renee Barton and husband Monty, Kristina Fling and husband Steve, Julie Eaton and husband Ryan, Amy Briggs and Lena Kastner; 15 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Monday, June 20, at Gottenstroeter Chapel, Owensville, with Rev. Jackie Asher officiating. Burial was in Howard Cemetery, Bland
