Erma J. Ridenhour, 86, Belle, passed away Saturday, Feb. 1, 2020, at Frene Valley in Owensville.
She was born Jan. 31, 1934, to Chesley and Mattie (Butler) Mitchem, in rural Osage County.
She was united in marriage to Delmar Smith, June 21, 1952. He preceded her in death. She was later united in marriage to Jack Ridenhour in 1987. He also preceded her in death.
Erma was a lifelong area resident and a member of the First Christian Church in Belle. She had been employed at both the International Shoe Company and the Brown Shoe Company.
In addition to her husbands, she was preceded in death by parents, Chesley and Mattie; and son, Danny Smith.
She is survived by son, Dwane Smith and wife Constance of Belle; sisters, Dorothy “Dot” Hafley of Belle and Judy Ridenhour and husband Jim of Belle; daughter-in-law, Bonnie Elrod; and six grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were Tuesday, Feb. 4, at First Christian Church in Belle with Ben Strode officiating. Interment followed in College Hill Cemetery. Memorial contributions to the College Hill Cemetery.
Arrangements are under the direction of Sassmann’s Chapel, Belle.
