Eunice Jean Piofcyk, 88, Rosebud, passed away Thursday, Aug. 26, 2021 at her residence.

She was born Sept. 15, 1932, to Emil and Emma (Luecke) Landwehr in Champion City.

She was united in marriage to Robert Piofcyk Oct. 16, 1954, at St. Paul’s United Church of Christ in Gerald.

Eunice was a member of Champion City United Methodist Church. She attended a one room school in Champion City through her grade school years, then graduated from Sullivan High School in 1949. After graduation, she went to work for Deb Shoe in Owensville and Washington. In 1962, she went to work for Citizen’s Bank of Gerald, which later became First Bank and worked there for many years. She enjoyed helping Barb with her catering and spending time with family.

She is preceded in death by parents Emil and Emma; husband Robert; infant twin daughters; grandson Kyle Zelch; infant brother; brothers-in-law Fred Schmidtke and LeOlin Vogt and sister-in-law, Dorothy Piofcyk Loher.

She is survived by daughter Barbara Zelch and husband Randy and son Dale Piofcyk and wife Gretchen all of Rosebud; sisters June Schmidtke and Irma Vogt both of Gerald, Wanda Benton and husband Glenn of Sullivan and brother Melvin Landwehr and wife Janice of Sullivan; and grandchildren, Cody Zelch, Kaitlin Mace and husband Logan and Garrett Piofcyk.

Visitation will be Thursday, Sept. 00 from 9 a.m. - 12 noon at Gottenstroeter Chapel, Owensville. Funeral services will follow with Pastor Mary N. Nienhueser officiating. Interment will be in the Red Brick Church Cemetery south of Rosebud.

Masks are suggested but not mandatory.
