Evelyn M. Michel, 97, Owensville, passed away Saturday, Feb. 15, 2020, at Gasconade Manor in Owensville.
She was born April 16, 1922, to Edward and Doris (Sewell) Scheel, in Bland.
She was united in marriage to Elmer Marion Michel on March 23, 1946, in Bland.
Evelyn was a member of New Hope Methodist Church. She was a 50 year member of the Easter Star and lifetime member of the Methodist Church. She enjoyed the company of the Senior Center and St. Louis Cardinals baseball.
She was preceded in death by parents Edward and Doris; step-mother, Lena Scheel; husband, Elmer; sons, Bryan and Roger Michel; brother, Dick Scheel; and sister-in-law, Maxine Scheel.
She is survived by granddaughter, Kim Michel of Columbia; sisters-in-law, Gladys Koepke of Owensville and Pat Michel of Bland; and by several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
Funeral services were Tuesday, Feb. 18, at Gottenstroeter Chapel in Owensville with Rev. Amy Turner officiating. Burial was in Bland Union Cemetery in Bland. Memorials requested to Owensville Senior Center.
