Ferdinand Charles Zykan, 75, Rosebud, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 29, 2020, at Mercy Hospital in Washington.
He was born March 3, 1945, to Albert and Loretta (Sidler) Zykan, in St. Louis.
He was united in marriage to Alma Casagrande, June 16, 1984, in St. Louis.
Ferdinand was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Owensville. He enjoyed mowing lawns and owned Ferd’s Grass Cutting for seven years. He enjoyed spending time with family, especially his grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by parents, Albert and Loretta; son, Corey Zykan; brothers, Albert, Tom and Robert Zykan; and sisters, Audrey Davis and Loretta Null.
He is survived by wife, Alma, of the home; sons, Kenneth Estes of Pevely, Patrick Estes of Union, Keith Estes and wife Victoria of Woodward, Okla., Ferdie Zykan of St. Louis and Don Burrows and wife Paulette of Owensville; daughter, Sharon Mounce of Wentzville; and by 13 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were Saturday, Oct. 3, at Gottenstroeter Chapel with Fr. Wayne Boyer officiating. Burial was in Countryside Memorial Gardens.
