Wally Weiss, a seven year veteran with the Gerald-Rosebud Fire Department (GRFD) has been diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumor. His fellow firemen have planned a benefit barbecue for Sunday, Sept. 27, at 10:30 a.m. to raise money for his medical expenses. The event will be held at Red Brick Antiques, on Highway T at U. S. Highway 50.
The group will be grilling pork steaks, brats and hot dogs. Sides and drinks will also be available. They will be serving until they run out of food.
The GRFD’s volunteer efforts provide excellent fire protection to the area. They never hesitate to help anyone in need, especially one of their own.
