Fomenting agitation, not understanding?

To the Editor:

Your editorial on “soft corruption in national politics” is a good example of “soft corruption” in journalist fairness.

You begin your article with statistics that show Republicans more guilty than Democrats of the abuse you are writing about and then proceed to use the bulk of your article focused only on Democrats. A limp disclaimer at the close of the piece says you are aware that Democrats aren’t alone in such practices but that might as well have been in “footnotes” which people don’t notice either.

What you’re doing is fomenting agitation, not understanding. And, as such is part of our country’s problems, not solutions.
