Four cases of the novel coronavirus COVID-19 were reported in Gasconade County since Thursday, according to health department officials.
All four cases were associated with travel outside of the area and all four individuals were part of the same travel group and associated with the first case reported June 18.
The second case was announced Friday. A third and fourth case were announced over the weekend including one on Sunday afternoon.
Health Department officials issued the Sunday release stating a Jost Tire, Co., employee had tested positive and the business was to be closed June 22 for deep cleaning. The public was advised to monitor themselves for symptoms of the virus “out of an abundance of caution” if they had been to the tire shop from June 15-17 (8 to 11 a.m.) or June 18 (8 a.m. to 5 p.m.). The business was cooperating with health officials and contact tracing was in progress.
