Franklin Delano Wehmeyer, 85, Owensville, passed away Sunday, March 20, 2022, at Frene Valley Stonebridge of Owensville.
He was born June 29, 1936, to Frank and Florence (Holzschuh) Wehmeyer in Bland.
He was united in marriage to Norma Shanks, April 17, 1960, at First Baptist Church of Owensville.
Franklin served his country with the U.S. Army. He was a member of First Baptist Church and VFW Post 6133. He enjoyed farming with cattle and horses.
He was preceded in death by parents Frank and Florence; daughter Cheryl Wehmeyer; siblings Elvin Wehmeyer, Velda Branson, Wanda Haddox and Vivian Schulte.
He is survived by wife Norma of their home; children Gary Wehmeyer and significant other Laura Etzel of Owensville, and Tricia Ridder and husband Dustin of Bay; sister Norma Schulte and husband Elmer of Owensville; and grandchildren Trace and Trigg Ridder.
Visitation will be Wednesday (today), March 23, from 4-8 p.m., at Gottenstroeter Chapel, Owensville.
Funeral services will be Thursday, March 24, at 11 a.m., at Gottenstroeter Chapel with Pastor Larry Harris officiating. Burial will be in Countryside Memorial Gardens with full military honors.
