Future gridiron Dutchmen

Over a nine-hour stretch Saturday at Owensville High School’s Dutchmen Field, future Owensville gridiron Dutchmen competed in both flag and tackle football preparing themselves for future action on football Friday nights.

Flag football squads were divided into orange, white and black teams to ensure plenty of playing time for Owensville and Gerald area third and fourth graders.

These teams are coached by Andrew Fowler, Derek Gruenloh and John Duzurn.

Making up the orange team is Nolan Fowler, Draydon Gruenloh, Bentley Crews, Brodey Bruyere, Deacon Stockton, Desmond Roach, Logan Myers, Owen Ray, Trace Ridder and Christian Brand.

Black-team members include Zeke Johnson, Colton Nowack, Tate Dixon, Gus Branson, Max Branson, Davin Dietrich, Joseph Benson, Isaac Barch and Evan Eberlin.

Rounding out Owensville’s contingency of flag football players on the white team include Ciris Burrows, Blake Koch, Jase Schulte, Jensen Akins, Barrett Knight, Brayden Kemp, Wyatt Helmig, Nathan Dobbs and Clayton Hays.

Fifth-grade Dutchmen donning pads for the first time include Liam Kramme, Logan Meyer, Colt Southerland, Cooper Southerland, Grayson Kelly, Ivan Phillips, Dustin Manson, Mason Steinbeck, Cord Tucker, Will Brune, Brayden Oldfather, Trace Lange, Roman Crowe, Bo Nowack-Schlottog, Landon Kohrmann, Lane Meyer, Brock Schneider, Garrett Baxter, Brycin Wilson, Peyton Sells, Atticus Budnik and Spurling Hendrix.

They are coached by Corey Wilson, Charlie Meyer, Jason Crowe, Randy Crowe, Ryan Baxter and Matt Kramme.

Sixth-grade Dutchmen in their second year of tackle football include Cayson Faulkner, Nathan Humphrey, Braylyn Reed, William Coppedge, Matthew Gooch, Cohen Dare, Mason Turner, Lucas Staton, Kastin Warren, Dylan Dietrich, Rylee Schuchardt, Nolan Jost, Hunter Downey, Tucker Crosby, Carson Fisher, Liam Trest, Lucas Kleekamp, Jaxon Lowe, Jaxton Withington, Gabe Myeburger, Peyton Pohlmann, Bo Buddemeyer, Elliott Phillips and Blaine Diestelkamp.

They’re coached by Chris Pohlmann, Dean Pohlmann and Justin Lowe.

Seventh-grade Dutchmen include George Wnuk, Brody Ridenhour, Mason McDaniel, Jayden Holland, David Trigo, Dakota Walters, Wyatt Bone, Aiden Higginbotham, Jace Basham, Bryce Nixon, Earnest Holland, Daimeyn Rogers, Brent Baumer, Aiden Hale, Bentley Luecke, Ian Laughlin, Braxton Ahart, Brogan Clancy, Damien White, Charlie Katsov, Logan Kiesling, Cayden Mooney, Andrew Budnik, Khai Krupp, Jax Johnston and Kurt Brenner.

They’re coached by Steve Luecke, Kevin Ridenhour and Jesse Bettis.

Eighth-grade Dutchmen in their final season of youth football before moving up to high school next fall include Brody Slinkard, Broden Kelly, Dane Dietrich, Payton Pendleton, Brock Heidbrink, Gabe Williams, Brady Watson, Zach Holtmeyer, Chase Crosby, Gauge Workman, Wyatt Lewis, Keigan Glaser, Braden Barzee, Cael Walker, Grant Huebler, David Levin, Leland Steen, Liam Rasmussen, Gregory Aytes, Micah Duncan, Kien Bayless and Tristan Sadler.

Owensville’s eighth-grade Dutchmen football team is coached by Chad Watson, Bubba Walker, Brent Crosby and Jeff Slinkard.
