This coming weekend, Owensville High School (OHS) will be full of fourth, fifth and sixth-grade volleyball teams looking to either keep medals and plaques in town or take them out of Gasconade County.

Action will start Friday night at 5 p.m., with 11 area volleyball teams from Owensville, Viburnum, Union, Bourbon, New Haven, Pacific, Belle and St. Clair hitting three courts inside the OHS main and small gyms.

Owensville Orange will begin their tournament at 5 p.m., facing Union before also facing Bourbon and Viburnum White in pool play throughout the night.

Coached by Jamie Blaue and Bre Eiler, fourth-grade Owensville orange team members include Brooklyn Blaue, Kyndall Eiler, Hudson Sieckmann, Addysan Newbound, Zoe Hiatt, Adalee Roehrig, Tinzlee Niewald, Katelyn Levin, Emilia Cardman, Nora Sadler, Adrian Saebens, Burke Heidbrink and Addison Fritzemeyer.

Pool B will feature Owensville Black facing New Haven at 5 p.m., followed by matches against Pacific Purple and Viburnum Blue.

Fourth-grade Owensville Black volleyball team members include Tyler Little, Alexis Pierce, Jayden Lowe, Ava Alferman, Madilyn Wiseman, Shayla Ringeisen, Abbie Barch, Sophia Dobbs, Alaina Stockton, Ember Nichols, Allison Meyer and Kynleigh Amato.

They’re coached by Megan Pierce and Megan Little.

Saturday morning volleyball will begin with fifth-grade action featuring two Owensville teams in addition to squads from Steelville, Union, Bourbon, New Haven, Cuba, St. Clair, Belle and Pacific.

Owensville orange will begin Pool A action against Union at 8 a.m., Saturday morning followed by matches against Steelville Black and Bourbon later in the morning.

Owensville orange team members coached by Jamie Blaue and Tera Duncan include Bryli Blaue, Isabella Duncan, Harper Watson, Halle Hengstenberg, Annabelle Grube, Kayla Faddis, Amelia Mylrea and Hadley Kleekamp.

Owensville black will also kick Pool B play off at 8 a.m., Saturday morning against New Haven at 8 a.m., before facing Steelville Red and New Haven later in the morning.

Fifth-grade Owensville black volleyball team members coached by Jamie Cobb and Megan Little include Bella Cobb, Lylah Manson-Little, Hunter Gibson, Kayla Hall, Paizli Echols, Aubrie James, Lia Lewis, Sophia Baker, Lydia Schaning and Ella Meyers.

Capping nearly 24 hours of volleyball Saturday afternoon will be sixth-grade Owensville orange and black teams along with squads from Union, Cuba, Steelville, Pacific, Spring Bluff and Sullivan.

Owensville orange will open Pool A action at 1 p.m., Saturday afternoon against Cuba before facing Steelville and Cuba later in the day.

Coached by Ryan Hampton and Becky Tucker, Owensville orange team members include Aubree Stockton, Addi Oldfather, Karly Jones, Braylee Maupin, Vivian Butler, Ragen Tucker, Kat Criswell, Sophia Elliott, Gemma Hecht and Kamillah Ridenhour.

Placed in Pool B, sixth-grade Owensville black’s volleyball team will kick off pool play also at 1 p.m., against Bourbon before taking on Pacific Purple after their match against the Lady Warhawks.

Sixth-grade Owensville black volleyball team members coached by Olivia and Janet Coppedge include Emma Rhoads, Kambria Krupp, Kendra Sullinger, Ellie Albright, Alexis Christensen, Ollie Ray, Ella Homeyer, Abby Corbitt, Lily Colula and Lillian Franchi.

During all three tournaments, there will be a $3 admission charge for adults and $2 admission charge for students.

Individual medals will be awarded to the top three teams while a plaque will be given to the championship team.

No outside food or drink will be allowed in the building as a concession stand will be available throughout Friday night and all day Saturday.
