Garrett Wayne Braun, 9, Owensville, passed away Monday, June 8, 2020.
Garrett was born March 18, 2011, to Joseph R. and Danielle (Curry) Braun in Washington.
Garrett was a student at Gasconade Co. R-2 Schools. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and playing all sports especially baseball. He was very fond of his dog Callie and his cat Lady. Garrett enjoyed shooting Nerf guns and spending time outdoors driving the Ranger. He had a very special relationship with his sister. He also enjoyed helping his dad repair things.
Garrett was preceded in death by his grandfather, Thomas Curry.
He is survived by his parents, Joey and Danielle; sister, Joleen Braun; maternal grandparents, Mark and Gina (Lumetta) Shuster of Union; great-grandmother June Curry of Oklahoma; paternal grandparents, Wayne Braun of Gerald and Margie (Thomeczek) Hodge and husband Harold of Eureka, Kan.; aunts and uncles, Shannon Matau and wife Cookie and Shaun Matau all of Union, Shane Matau and partner Amber of Poplar Bluff and Jenny Menz and husband Curtis of Rosebud; numerous cousins and other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held Sunday, June 14 at Gottenstroeter Funeral Home with pastor Tim Weiser officiating.
