Gary Hubert Reinkemeyer, 61, Linn, passed away Sunday, Dec. 9, 2018.

He was born June 30, 1957, to Lawrence “Bud” and Esther (Rustemeyer) Reinkemeyer, in Jefferson City.

He was united in marriage to Carla (Rhoads) Reinkemeyer, May 3, 1980, at St. George Catholic Church in Linn.

Gary was a 1975 graduate of Linn High School and a 1977 graduate of Linn State Technical College with a degree in auto mechanics on a basketball scholarship. He was employed for Balkenbusch Excavating for over 40 years and spent most of his weekends playing at Maples Farms.  He enjoyed working, playing on a bulldozer, cutting wood, going to tractor pulls, playing basketball, making and visiting with friends, spending time on the family farm but his greatest joy was spending time with his grandchildren.  

He was preceded in death by parents, Bud and Esther; and brother, Larry Reinkemeyer.

He is survived by wife, Carla, of the home; children, Amy Reinkemeyer of Linn, Kelly Reinkemeyer of Macon and Michael Reinkemeyer and wife Sarah of Koeltztown; grandchildren, Karlee and David Reinkemeyer; brother, Dale Reinkemeyer and wife Mary Kay of Loose Creek; sister, Elaine Reinkemeyer of Springfield, Ill.; and several nieces, nephews and friends.

Visitation will be held (today) Wednesday, Dec. 12, from 4-7 p.m., at Morton Chapel in Linn.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held Thursday, Dec. 13, at 10 a.m., at Morton Chapel in Linn.  Inurnment will follow at Mt. Aeriel Cemetery near Linn. Memorial contributions suggested to the family.
