The Gasconade County Commission met with Presiding Commissioner Larry Miskel at the Courthouse beginning with Pledge of Allegiance.
BUDGET WORKSHOP
Clerk Lietzow provided Commission with budget status for all departments, offices and funds based on initial expense requests and revenue projections; as usual, General Revenue will need some adjustments made in expenses and hopefully in revenue to end above board. Commission reviewed all budgets, focused on General Revenue, and will ask elected officials to try and reduce expense requests back to 2019 actual numbers if at all possible; Commission is well aware that might not be possible in every situation, but also are well aware that the elected officials will make every attempt possible to comply. Commissions’ hope is that will be a significant enough reduction, then raise calculations of three percent will be able to remain as is. Clerk Lietzow will talk with everyone possible today and asked for new numbers to be submitted by end of day tomorrow with Commission returning Thursday morning to resume budget work.
ADJOURN
Commissioner Jerry Lairmore made a motion to adjourn commission until Jan. 9, 2020. Commissioner Jim Holland seconded the motion. The meeting was adjourned.
